In a deeply saddening development, popular Bengali actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee has reportedly passed away following a boating accident at Talsari Sea Beach in Odisha on March 29, 2026. He was 42.
According to reports, the actor was in the region for a shoot when the unfortunate incident occurred. After completing filming, he was travelling on a speedboat when he reportedly fell into the water. Rescue teams quickly reached the spot and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.
Rahul Banerjee was widely admired for his work in Bengali cinema and television. He rose to fame with his role in the 2008 film Chirodini Tumi Je Amar, which remains one of his most loved performances. Over the years, he built a strong connection with audiences through films like Love Circus, Shono Mon Boli Tomay, Na Hannyate, and Kagojer Bou.
